I am a Kent boy born and bred. After attending Gravesend Grammar School for Boys I obtained a law degree from the Hull University and completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in London. Having trained at a small firm in London, I became a partner in a large Kent practice and began to specialise in family law. I joined Whitehead Monckton in 1995 and became a partner in 1996. I then became a Director when the firm incorporated to a Limited Company in April 2014.
I joined the partnership board in 2003 and was the firm’s first Managing Partner from 2006 – 2011.

I am a practising accredited mediator having qualified with the National College in 1993.
I also specialise in Education work and have been a School Governor since 2001. I am able to advise on most aspects of Education law including school academy conversions.
I am a Trustee and treasurer of Kent Family Mediation Service, A Trustee of the European School of Osteopathy and a director of the Tenterden Schools Trust. I work as a legal adviser for Radio Kent in the having appeared on the Barbara Sturgeon, Julie Maddocks and Dominic King shows. I had my own show on Radio Kent from 2018-2020. I am a regular contributor on KMTV.
A family man with 3 sons and 1 grandaughter I spend my free time, gardening, cycling and breaking down in my vintage VW Type 32 Bay.
