Ella Beck

Ella is a Solicitor in the succession team, advising individuals and families across Kent on Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Inheritance Tax, Trusts and Court of Protection matters. She is known for her friendly approach, helping clients navigate complex and emotional situations with confidence.

Experience

• Worked alongside my colleague, Laura Hails, and a Spanish Lawyer, to obtain a unique Court Order authorising the Deputies to deal with affairs in Spain.
• Obtained a Deputyship Order for Property and Financial Affairs, on an urgent basis, 4 days after submitting the application to the Court of Protection.
• Advising a Client on a variety of complex interlinking life interest and discretionary trusts to ensure these they have considered all of the necessary tax issues.
• Acting on behalf of a Personal Representative residing in Australia to administer an intestate estate.
• Advised the Trustees of a Nil Rate Band Discretionary Loan Trust to ensure all appropriate documentation was prepared for the loan to be repaid from the deceased estate and administered in accordance with the Trust documentation.

Qualifications and recognition 

Ella qualified as a solicitor in 2025 following completion of her BA(Hons) degree in Business Management attaining a 2:1, and subsequently her Graduate Diploma in Law and Master of Laws in Professional Legal Practice both with commendation. Ella completed her Masters dissertation on the proposed reform of Lasting Powers of Attorney, obtaining a grade of 80% and presenting the same at an academic conference.

About Me

Ella is a member of our Employee Council, a mentor for junior members of the firm and part of the Succession Working Party.

Outside of work Ella’s main hobbies are shopping and going for brunch with friends. If the weather is nice, Ella enjoys going for a walk or watching local sport. When the weather is not so good, Ella can be found inside watching F1 with her cat.  Finally, Ella is a big fan of a range of live music and theatre, most recently having seen the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra perform The Planets at The Royal Albert Hall and Les Miserables on the West End.
