Daniel Tozer

Job Title:

Director and Head of Corporate & Commercial

Services:

  • Corporate & Commercial

Profile

I am a Director and Head of the Corporate and Commercial team.

I trained at Whitehead Monckton back in 2010 and qualified as a Solicitor in the Corporate team in 2012 before moving to fellow Kent firm, asb law LLP. During my time at asb law I progressed to become a Partner and Head of Corporate Finance. I was awarded the Insider South East Dealmakers Corporate Lawyer of the Year in 2020. I then saw through the sale of asb law to Knights PLC in 2020 before re-joining Whitehead Monckton in 2022 and taking the reins from Janet Goode.

I specialise in mergers, share and asset acquisitions, sales, corporate re-organisations and demergers, management buy-outs / buy-ins and joint ventures. I also advise on loans, investments, debt refinancing and security arrangements.

I have a lot of experience advising on sales and purchases in the insurance, recruitment and manufacturing sectors. I enjoy building strong relationships with my clients and act for acquisitive clients whom I have supported on their acquisition trail for many years.

At the Insider South East Dealmakers Awards 2024 I won Corporate Lawyer of the Year and the team also won Deal of the Year (Sub £10m).

When out of the office:

I enjoy playing Monday night six-a-side football, walking my dog, going to restaurants, going away for long weekends across Europe and, when the weather is nice, flying my plane out of Rochester Airport.
